Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. Our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected, through independent living, assisted living and memory care.

We are currently seeking a Director of Facilities. This individual will be responsible for the oversight, management and planning of the organization's properties, vehicles and physical environment; ensures that the environment and property is maintained in accord with the applicable regulations and standards and in accordance with the values of the Daughters of Charity. 

What You'll Do

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all maintenance, repairs, upkeep of buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment.
• Understand all policies and procedures and apply them fairly and constructively to a diverse population.
• Plan and conduct periodic in service training programs for staff in safe work habits involving fire safety, workplace safety, electrical installations, power tools, laundry equipment, lawn tools, cleaning products, insecticides, etc.
• Provide hands on training and assistance with departmental tasks as needed.
• Formulate and implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure that a current backup plan is in palace at all times and is communicated to those who are or may be involved so that corrective action can be taken in a safe and timely manner.
• Participate in the development and management of departmental budgets
• Oversee the services provided by contractors and vendors
• Function as part of the management team
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, some weekends and holidays required

Physical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.
