Social Studies Teacher

Mother Seton School, a pre-K - grade 8 Catholic school located in Emmitsburg, MD and sponsored by the Daughters of Charity, is seeking a middle school Social Studies teacher beginning August 21, 2023.

The ideal candidate will be a mission-driven, innovative educator who is familiar with best practices in the science of reading, technology integration, assessment, and differentiation. The ideal candidate has a desire to work in a collaborative and professional learning environment, has a positive attitude, and an ability to motivate and work with all types of learners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Current MSDE certification or ability to achieve required certification within three years of hire
• Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficiency with instructional technology, flexibility, and multi-task ability are crucial in this role

Salary dependent on experience. Position is benefits eligible.
