Visitor Service Attendant - PRN

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton is seeking a friendly, engaging, creative person to join our team as a (PRN) Visitor Experience Facilitator (VEF). The VEF interacts directly with visitors as a tour guide or by presenting a historical figure in first-person wearing a period costume. Training will be provided.

The schedule is usually 3-7 hours per day and/or as many shifts as the schedule demands. Shifts do include weekends, evenings, and special events. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has an engaging personality, a passion for education, and has a deep appreciation for history. He/she must be comfortable speaking to and engaging with groups of 20+ people as well as couples and families. Experience performing or teaching is a plus. He or she will be a quick learner who is able to absorb and retain large amounts of information and present it in a creative manner. Basic knowledge of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and the Catholic Church is a plus. He/she will retain a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is a plus.
