Visitor Service Attendant - Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton exists to promote the life and legacy of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton as a source of inspiration and encouragement for all people. We are currently seeking a friendly, engaging, creative person to join our team as a part-time Visitor Experience Facilitator (VEF). The VEF interacts directly with visitors by greeting, processing admission and tickets, encourage interest in the Shrine's programs and events, and provide short explanations of exhibits in the museum. The VEF will also complete data entry, daily reports and administrative related tasks required at the information desk. Training will be provided.

The schedule is usually 7-8 hours/day, two-four days per week, Friday through Monday, and occasional evenings. The Shrine offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within the position of Visitor Experience Facilitator.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate has an engaging personality, comfortable speaking to and engaging with groups of people as well as couples and families. Being computer proficient, particular to MS Office, basic Excel and web platform is preferred. Skills in sales and exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks is a plus. Basic knowledge of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and the Catholic Church is a plus. He or she will retain a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
